Roller Ski Taster – 26 May 2.30pm
Is getting fit your thing? Well, we have something which will be right up your street!! On Sunday, 26 May we are hosting two roller ski taster sessions at RM Condor along side the BBQ and end of season race. Not sure what roller skiing is? Well read on and check out the video below.
Roller skiing is the summer version of cross country skiing which, as a sport, is fast and a true test of endurance, but as a leisure activity it is pursued for fitness or for touring across terrain. Not only is it a fantastic way of staying fit but it’s also one of the best sports to discover the beautiful landscape in Scotland. It is easy to learn, meaning that even beginners will soon be travelling good distances.
If you have alpine skied before it is the same movement of skating you use along the flat to get going, which makes your alpine skills very transferable. Don’t worry if you don’t ski though, the coaches will soon get you going.
The cost of the taster session is included in your entry to the BBQ and dry slope race so please ensure you have bought your tickets for the BBQ. To manage numbers we need anyone taking part in the session to complete the form below. No experience is necessary. Minimum age is 5 but there is also a minimum shoe size of a kids UK size 12.
We have two sessions taking place, the first at 12pm, the second starting at 2.30pm. This will allow anyone wanting to take part in the dry slope race to ski in either session however please be aware that the later session will finish after the prize giving so if you don’t want to miss this book into the first session.
For the taster it would be great if you could bring the following:
– Cycle Helmet;
– Active Clothing;
– Glasses or Sunglasses (if you have them); and
– Thin gloves to protect your hands (if you have them). “
We also need to know your shoe size so please leave a comment in the box below. If you have any questions about the session please contact Maggie Lawrie – maggie_lawrie @hotmail.com.
