We have reserved the Cairnwell piste at Glenshee on Saturday 24th February 2018 to run our annual Club Race on snow. We last managed to run the club race on snow in 2012. At the moment conditions look promising however as we all know this can change quite quickly in Scotland!
The race will be giant slalom (bigger turns!). The race is open to all club members who can ski a blue run (roughly snowlife level 2+). The race course will be set in a manner that those who can ski a blue run will be able to complete the course whilst letting more experienced skiers get the sensation of taking part in a proper ski race. Please note the Cairnwell piste is served by a T-bar so anyone wishing to take part will need to be able to use this.
We would like as many people to take part as possible and would hope to break into groups to free ski in the afternoon.
The race itself will be contested over 2 runs with the fastest aggregated time being the winner.

Registration and bib collection on the day will be at the roadside café ( Tea at the Shee) and will open at 9am.
Course inspection will start at 0930
First run 1000, second run 1045 and we would hope to be finished by 1130.
The cost will be £5.00 to enter the race to help cover costs of slope hire, equipment and Glenshee staff.
