    The Club has organised a Big Day Out at the Dry Slope RM Condor on Saturday, 16 December 2017.

    We will be running 3 courses along with the option of free skiing.  To book into any of these sessions please visit the lesson booking page of the website and click the book lesson button.

    In order to keep costs down we have agreed with RM Condor that, in return for free use of the slope, we will clean the slope prior to the start of the courses.

    We see the day working as follows;

    0900 to 1100 Clean Slope

    1100 to 1600 (5hrs) – Off Piste Course

    We have 8 spaces available for an introduction to off piste and touring at £40.00. This will be led by Blair Aitken, one of the UK’s leading authorities on back country skiing. It may sound an odd idea to be learning off piste skiing on the artificial slope but Blair has been successfully running these courses at Hillend. In order to book this course you will need to know the sole length of your boot (normally found on the side of your ski boot) to allow set up of all equipment prior to course.

    1100 to 1500 ( half hour lunch) (3.5hrs)  – Race Training

    We have 10 spaces for race training with Louise Kochalski at £25.00. Louise is ex-Scottish Team and has a wealth of ski racing experience. Though we are using the term race training this course is open to anyone who can make turns and use the long tow.

    1100 to 1500 (half hour lunch) (3.5hrs) – Personal Performance Training

    If the race training sounds too much we would also like to run a personal performance course for 10 people, with a view to improving your overall skiing performance at £25.00. This session will be open to anyone who can make turns and use the long tow. The coach for this course is to be confirmed.

    1100 to 1600 ( 5hrs or as much as you would like to do!) – Free Ski

    Free skiing! We have 12 spaces at £5.00 for anyone who would like to improve their technique, practicing and applying what they have already learned on the slope or elsewhere. The slope will be available for 5 hours skiing. Please note our normal free skiing requirements apply to this.

    Please note the club intends not to run for profit so if we fill courses, rebates will be applied to each course accordingly.
