[03/03/10] Glenshee Race/Fun Day is ON!
We're good to go on Saturday for the ASC Race Day and the weather forecast is looking good. The snow conditions are the best since the 1980's and that's saying something! We have had a good response and it looks like we will have a good turn-out on the day. However, it is not too late to take part and if you wish to do so ( you'd be mad to miss it!) please register with dave@arbroathskiclub.co.uk stating which race you wish to enter. You will be required to give your date of birth. The age categories are:
- Bairns: 1999 and younger
- Children: 1995 - 1998
- Juniors: 1990 - 1994
- Seniors: 1989 and earlier
This is going to be a fun day for all so don't miss out. The two races we are running are:
- Giant Slalom, which is through the gates, will take place on the Cairnwell GS Course with Glenshee staff in attendance, timing gates etc. Access is via the Cairnwell T-Bar lift.
- The Fun Race will take place on the piste adjacent to the Claybokie drag lift.
We plan to meet in The Roadside Cafe, beside the lift pass office, at 09:00hrs. Registration and bibs will be issued here. The entry fee is £5 for adults and £2 for children and the Fun Race is free entry.
Please remember to bring your ASC membership card to qualify for your 10% lift pass discount.
We look forward to seeing you on what we hope will be a great day and remember to bring your camera! We hope you will join us at the Spittal of Glenshee Hotel for an apres ski drink.
For the lucky few, the trophy presentations will be made at the Annual BBQ in June.
